THE TURKIC WORLD ON THE ETHICS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
SCOPE AND AIMS

The 1st International Conference on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence aims to provide a high-level interdisciplinary platform for addressing the ethical challenges and responsibilities posed by the rapid advancement of AI technologies. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into every aspect of modern life-from healthcare and education to security and governance-there is an urgent need to examine its implications for human dignity, social justice, and cultural values.

This Conference seeks to bring together researchers, ethicists, legal scholars, policymakers, technologists, and representatives from international organizations to discuss how AI systems can be designed, developed, and deployed in ways that are ethical, inclusive, and accountable. Particular attention will be paid to culturally sensitive approaches to AI ethics in the context of the Turkic world and beyond.

The event is also supported by the newly established Department of Artificial Intelligence at Baku State University, which aims to lead cutting-edge research and academic training in AI technologies with a strong emphasis on ethical and societal dimensions. The department will play a key role in shaping interdisciplinary dialogue and fostering future experts who are technically proficient and ethically grounded.

Key objectives of the Conference include:

The Conference also aims to lay the groundwork for long-term cooperation among institutions in the Turkic region and globally on the ethical development of artificial intelligence technologies.
